AWS collaborates with IN-SPACe and ISRO to develop space abilities using cloud technology
In an innovation towards the future of space technology, Amazon Web Services (AWS) India Private Limited has recently joined hands with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe).
This collaboration aims to harness the power of cloud computing to foster innovation within the space sector. This partnership will grant space startups, research institutions and students access to cutting-edge cloud technologies.
AWS's educational initiatives in cloud computing with ISRO's profound expertise in space technology is set to inspire upcoming generations, encouraging them to embark on careers within India's thriving space industry.
The promotion of innovation in the realm of space technology stands as a top priority for the nation, as it holds the promise of enhancing governance, delivering superior services to citizens, and creating substantial value for stakeholders.
ISRO, IN-SPACe, and AWS are committed to jointly nurturing and expanding the startup ecosystem within the space-tech sector. Through the AWS Activate program, eligible space startups will gain access to valuable tools, resources, and expert technical support at no cost, enabling them to develop innovative solutions and accelerate their path to commercialization. These startups will also benefit from AWS's extensive global experience in aerospace and satellite solutions.
The three organizations will embark on an educational initiative designed to equip students and educators with expertise in cloud computing, AI, ML, analytics, and security, using AWS education programs.
