Pax8 names SaaS veteran David Powell as new sales strategy chief
Cloud marketplace provider Pax8 has appointed David Powell as its new vice president of sales strategy. Powell is a Channel veteran and will be joining Pax8 from Evo Security, where he was chief revenue officer for the identity and access management (IAM) platform provider.
Powell is a software as a service (SaaS) expert who has been in the industry for over 26 years. He comes into his new position with a bagful of experience that cuts across different sectors including account management, security, channel strategy, sales and marketing, as well as business acquisitions and development.
Cumulatively, Powell has been part of three successful exits and seven acquisitions including the acquisition of Perch Cybersecurity by ConnectWise and Logic Monitor’s acquisition by Visa Equity Partners.
At Pax8, Powell will be in charge of developing a sales strategy to help drive growth and revenue, with a key focus on helping MSPs to strengthen their cybersecurity offerings.
“We are thrilled to have someone of David's calibre join Pax8 during this significant period of our company's growth,” said Jared Pangretic, SVP of sales at Pax8. “David's passion for the channel community is evident in his efforts to empower MSPs and help them succeed in a constantly evolving market. His extensive network and deep understanding of the MSP landscape have earned him a reputation as a trusted advisor and thought leader in the industry.”
When asked about his new appointment, Powell said his aim is to help MSPs to remain strong even in the face of the intense and ever-expanding threat landscape. “my aim, in tandem with Pax8's mission of fostering MSP achievement, is to help MSPs implement strong and all-encompassing cyber security solutions that ensure the protection of both their organisation and their clients," Powell said.
